From secure sources I can tell you that the low altitude turn following the second pass DID NOT impress the TAP managers, neither the Portugese civil aviation authority nor Airbus. This “stunt” has been widely criticized as absolute reckless flying by the airline pilot community. Impressive for the untrained eye but unfortunately nothing to be proud of… and a classic of “must not do at air shows” for professionals…

Oh this is nothing, I fly planes lower than this ALL the time using my flight simulator. jeez. bahahah. yes that was quiet LOW . its amazing those planes can pull up when they do being so close to the ground. Scary stuff.

that’s why they say Portuguese pilots are the best in the world, Portuguese fly academies you really need to be a 20 at every science in school(20 its the maximum score), mathematics, physics…geometry,trigonometry etc.. i know this by a fact, someone of my family couldn’t get the pilot license in Portugal so he went to California and after 4 years he was a pilot, now he is a pilot for TAP as well

Very dangerous and appears reckless. This pilot is milliseconds away from disaster, the left bank turn so close to the ground gave me chills. The wingtip was just a few feet from touching the ground.
