Flight Simulator 2020

STALL in All Planes of Microsoft Flight Simulator Release version: Premium Deluxe

READ DESCRIPTION BEFORE COMMENT PLEASE!
Welcome, Microsoft/Xbox provided a copy of ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator’ to me for review.
This is the release version, 1.7.12.0. on launch on August 18th, 2020.
Pc specs are I9 9900K 64 GB RAM RTX 2080. Settings High at 4K, recorded at 1080 with Windows Game Bar.
In this video I show you all planes in a clean stall (only one type of stall), I mean, power to idle, rudder neutral, no flaps and stick progressively pulled. Also I took into account the wind, (stalled against it, it was 270 degrees 11 Kt in almost all cases), and the sideslip, trying to have the ball centered.
Important: under some circumstances the stall can be different, drop a wing to the other side, or don’t drop a wing. Specially check wind, sideslip, and post stall recovery procedure!

  1. This video makes me think that Microsoft Flight Simulator should include the Antonov An-2 with the Microsoft’s classic blue screen of death when attempting to stall.

  2. Please comment on how you felt the rudders functioned in the GA aircraft. Wings level in stall practice is maintained by proper rudder input. Like we see the rudders moving in the Flight Design CTSL, but not others. Some GA aircraft looked like super minimum input, if not zero input, with the rudders. Was the flight model actually different from one GA plane to another?

  3. The King Air is under power until the proper is feathered. So, it’ll resist stalling because there’s still some thrust being generated.

  4. it seems like the planes with the winglets or slight swept up wingtips are more stable in stalls then those who don’t have it.

  5. Some of these planes are remarkably reluctant to enter a stall… I have no idea how realistic or unrealistic that is. Either way, they’re default planes, i wouldn’t expect them to be ultra realistic.

  6. Guess you could say that not all airplanes enter a spin when stalling…

Also, no stick shaker? Well the 787 has one at least.

  7. Primera vez que te doy negativo.. No se ve nada asi. Minimo mostrarlo en cámara exterior, dejarlo caer y ver como se convierte en una heladera llena de piedras.
