After addressing some basic config issues, this is my first video test of my new GPU, a Gigabyte Vision Geforce RTX 3090 OC 24Gb, flying a Bleriot XI (payware addon from Wing42 developer) inside New York, over Central Park, along 5th Avenue and beyond.
You can see the FPS as captured by Nvidia Experience in the upper left corner.
There was some east wind, that constantly unstabilized the plane, which is extremely sensitive to wind and turbulencews, this is why I’m constantly fighting to keep it stable.
On landing, this plane had no steerable wheel, so I had top fight for align the better I could while practicing an emergency landing due an engine stop.
Microsoft/Xbox provided a copy of ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator’ to me for review. This is the version 1.11.6.0.
My website: www.airvideoworld.com
Pc specs: I9 9900K 64 GB RAM RTX 3090 OC. Settings Ultra at 4K, recorded and uploaded this video at 4K.
About the exact settings, I’ve only selected Ultra Global Rendering Quality and modified:
-Terrain level of detail from 200 to 150.
-Objects level of detail from 200 to 150.
-Windshield Effects from Ultra to High (just because there’s a graphical issue with some planes).
Nvidia control panel is default as a test. GPU usage is 70-80% and CPU usage 50-60%. Still room for improvement ahead!
Main Control: Thrustmaster Hotas Cougar
Throttle: Honeycomb Bravo Throttle
Rudder: Thrustmaster TPR
