In the first Flight Simulators, the default airfield was Merrill C. Meigs Field (KCGX). Flight Simmers flew there lots and lots of hours. In my case, from Flight Simulator 4.0 back in 1990.
Unfortunately, Meigs Field was closed on 2003 and deleted from reality except some buildings like the control tower. I’ve miss it a lot in FS2020, but thanks to the modder GuillermoZS, this handgrafted addon scenery is free to download from here: https://flightsim.to/file/834/merril-c-meigs-field-kcgx
To fly there, I have also used this free scenery mod that enhances some aspects of the photogrammetry of Chicago by Cool Mint Studios:

Microsoft/Xbox provided a copy of ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator’ to me for review. This is the version 1.9.3.
