Landing on TOP of Everest and back Lukla with FOG in Microsoft Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe

Welcome, Microsoft/Xbox provided a copy of ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator’ to me for review.
This is the release version, 1.7.12.0. on launch on August 18th, 2020.
Pc specs are I9 9900K 64 GB RAM RTX 2080. Settings High at 4K, recorded at 1080 with Windows Game Bar.
In this video I show you an extreme landing on top of the tallest mountain in the world, mount Everest, (8848m), just because in this sim its surface is flat enough. Only a very few helicopters landed here in reality!
After the landing (a rough one, I know), I had not enough power to move the plane slightly uphill, so I had to slip back using the slope. I takeoff as fine as I can, lack of pressure up there makes the plane behave very sluggish. Then I descent the glaciers, overflow an Everest base camp and entered into fog with some rain as I went back to Luckla. Switched to pseudo IFR thanks to the Garmin screens and finally made it!
The airport is Lukla, named Tenzing-Hillary Airport (VNLK).

  1. In reality the ridge you landed on is a knife edge ridge with cliffs on either side and unstable snow cornices on top of the ridge. Also the game has some interesting laws of physics because there is no way a small prop plane would have the power to climb that high. However its still fun to try in the game. A helicopter did land on top of Mt Everest recently. This was quite an acheivent because its really hard to spin the helicopter blades fast enough to climb that high and its hard to maintain control of the helicopter in such thin air.
