Today, a group of aviation history fans related with Fundació Parc Aeronáutic de Catalunya (FPAC) have visited the museum in La Senia, where a former Legion Condor aerodrome in Spanish Civil War was established. Today the aerodrome does not exist but there are a lot of remains and there’s a strong group of enthusiasts for aviation history doing a lot of interesting things to see. Here you can see the pictures of the visit; I’ver uploaded the album to facebook, totally public:
After visiting the museum, we also visited a spectacular Polikarpov I-16 Type 10 Supermosca CM-257, a 1:1 scale replica built by Jose Ramón Bellaubí, that is kept on a local installation of the townhall.
There I flew my new small drone with the purpose of making a different walkaround video by using the fpv camera. The flight has been inside a warehouse with permission from the owner. This is the result, I’ve only cut some moments where the plane is not on the screen, but the entire flight lasted 6 minutes with a momentary landing to manually change the angle of the camera.
We also visited the Tupolev SB-2 M-100 Katiuska project, currently under construction by the same builder, Jose Ramón Bellaubí. I had few battery in the drone, but I managed to make a small flight and record this another video:
The visit to the zone is highly reccomended if you appreciate aviation history. Here flew great pilots like Moelders or Galland. Here you can getmore information:
