Drone spotted from airplane (without safety problem!)

Watch it ak 4K and in a computer screen or you won’t see anything!
I’m a private pilot flying cessna 152 and also a drone pilot. I see with high worries that there’s a worldwide pseudosafety drama against drones from aviation authorities.
So I’ve flown my Cessna at legal altitude (2000 ft over an RC airfield) and watched a drone flying at his legal altitude, probably an FPV Wing. No, it was not a bird, too fast to be one.
I can’t see any safety concern in this drone spotted, he and me were at our legal altitudes and there’s absolutely no problem.
STOP PSEUDOSAFETY DRAMA AGAINST DRONES!

  1. looks like it could be a wing, its not often drone pilots fly straight lines lol
Thanks for your support buddy, its about time we showed the hysteria is just for the papers.
Still have not seen the supposed drone at gatwick

  2. Thank you for a common sense approach to drones! We respect your airspace and working together there’s room for us all to safely fly!

  3. My hat is off to you sir… for showing us the facts rather than the hysteria! I shall endeavour to mention this video in my next video on the issue of drone regulations and the public hysteria that surrounds RC models.

  4. Law makers so stupids that is incredible what’s happening nowaday with Drones. Never in my life as a prívate pilot in cessna 152, 172 or helicopter R22 could think that legality must be so stupid with Drones. If a person should like hurt with a drone, sure he could do it for more laws that lawyers imagination can do and forbiden things that they can imagine. Unknown RPAS world by RPAS lawyers is so Wide that must be in a psiquiatríc for they paranoya. Not only by laws even in instruction flight. 60 hours of teoric plus 5 more and only 5 of practice. I’m 19 years of private plane and helicopter pilot and 35 years of airmodels pilot and actually everyday I learn new things about planes, helicopters, and drones and they pretend that with 5 hours of drone practice can get a work level. Let me smile for not cry.

  5. So!! wait a minute!! if it would be one of the fast raptor «Hunter birds like a hawk diving for pray…??? you would be totally wrong!! and let us turn it around!! what if it is a Fix wing drone!! but it flying to damn slow… you’ll turn around and say that is a bird?? there’s lots of room for mistakes!!

  6. Thanks for your effort to put the hysteria in it’s place.

I get the impression you were actually actively looking to spot an RC aircraft from your Cessna, flew to somewhere you knew there was going to be one and was able to capture it.

The fact you had to go to these lengths to do this and even then the RC aircraft was difficult to spot, really shows how unlikely it is that all these pilots and cabin crew have spotted drones (at far greater distances) whilst being task saturated doing their normal jobs.

  7. I think you’re wrong. According to my airline pilot’s UFO identification chart that was clearly a swarm of drones.

And also there’s something wrong with your camera; at 2000ft that <2m object should look the size of a crop circle.

  8. maybe you should educate ALPA…..you know those guys who fly Airliners Thousands of feet in the air who see all those «drones» …….yeah ….those guys whose eyesight is like Superman…..( but none ever film it like you did )

  9. Good Stuff!
Yep, the altitude limits are there for good reason, safe separation seems to be enough to keep commercial airliners safe from each other, it should be more then enough to keep manned and unmanned aircraft safe too!.

  10. Refreshing to see a real Pilot that understands the Pseudosafety Drama over UAV’s flying legally and that can share the skies without issue. Thank you for setting the record straight!

  11. Many thanks for your rational perspective. It makes a great change from the mainstream media’s narrative. Kudos to you Sir 👍.

  12. Bloody hell you have 40/40 vision to spot that little thing , as you say well below you and in a big wide open space , fly safe mate .

  13. thank you for sharing this. makes ya wonder how in the world these commercial pilots are all seeing these drones at a cruising speed and altitude when i couldnt even see this plane when you slowed it down and drew a circle around it.

  14. Thank you kind sir. This is the perfect ammunition that us in the RC aviation community need to combat the hysteria built around RC aircraft and being perpetuated by ill informed politicians and aided and abetted by civil servants/Google/Amazon who want the 0-400 ft airspace for commercial use. It’s a necessary fight because RC aviation has long been one of the critical nurseries for full size aviation.

  15. Thanks man, all over the world, drone pilots and rc pilots are getting tired of the drama, I fly from a RC field next to a small glider and ultralight field, and we never had a issue, even thought there have been rc flight there for more than 20 years

  16. I’m with Bruce @xjet… I’m so glad there is a pilot who is showing the truth about Drones flying alongside civil and commercial aviation. I don’t understand why the mass hysteria against drones and RC aircraft. What is the end game for it??
