Cirrus SR22 Rejected Takeoff

Short before rotating, when the plane has already bounced a bit into the air, the pilot of the N837MM decided to abort the takeoff, check procedures again, and …

  1. Dude should have brought the flaps up immediately after decision to abort. It will significantly add weight back to the gear and reduce rolling distance.

  3. Would benefit from some more dual time with a instructor, quite a poor showing from the P1 especially considering the good weather and the wind right down the runway.

  5. hopefully they waited long enough for the brakes to cool down… take-off abort – 10sec @ 1:22 and btw if you listen carefully enough 3 seconds after 2:32 on the 2nd take-off the engine seems to fluctuate in RPM (constant speed propeller or Pilots throttle input ??, definitely not the Doppler effect)

  7. dear dear pilot, i was taught on a trike landing gear to always get the back wheels on the ground first ! then the nose wheel .
I cant quite tell if you did that 😉 cheers

  9. He better learn to flare better . Landing on nose wheel not good. I got a thousand hours on FX, 590 dual on X-Plane , 200 on MFS. So don’t challenge my authority . Lol

  11. Camera work was top notch. Pilot work was meh on the landing. That said, aborting a takeoff that close to rotation speed is no joke. Many pilots SHOULD have aborted and bent metal (or worse) running long. The engine note was actually better on the aborted T/O versus the second one. I think that might just have been a training exercise.
