Boston under snow and emergency landing in Microsoft Flight Simulator Release version

Welcome, Microsoft/Xbox provided a copy of ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator’ to me for review
This is the release version, 1.7.12.0. on launch on August 18th, 2020.
Pc specs are I9 9900K 64 GB RAM RTX 2080. Settings High at 4K, recorded at 1080 with Windows Game Bar.
In this video I show you a flight over Boston under snow, I got ice all over the plane and requested to land in several nearby airports, but the request was denied since it turned to be IFR conditions an I was on an VFR plane. I managed to navigate until I found an airport and landed. I just wanted to save the plane!
I know, an VFR plane won’t do anything in those contidions, but take it easy, it’s just a quick way to check the scenario and test things in a simulator.

  1. It’s disturbing to see what it probably looks like to the several pilots every year who actually do this and eat the big one doing it.

  2. Very curious about how this sim handles Hingham and Hull, about a 2-3 min flight south-east of Dorchester/South Boston. I know the sim uses Google Earth to map the areas but on Google Earth there’s a weird patch of land that has no 3D effects.
