Flight Simulator 2020

Atlanta (Georgia, USA) in Microsoft Flight Simulator Release version

Welcome, Microsoft/Xbox provided a copy of ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator’ to me for review.
This is the release version, 1.7.12.0. on launch on August 18th, 2020.
Pc specs are I9 9900K 64 GB RAM RTX 2080. Settings High at 4K, recorded at 1080 with Windows Game Bar.
In this video I show you Atlanta, Georgia, USA, taking off from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (KATL). I switched plane and came back later because I saw some stunt possibilities in the scenario, I couln’t miss that chance!

  1. Can you go to the Norfolk International Airport to fly over Virginia? I just want to see my state so bad. It’s a great southern place with beautiful ocean fronts.

  2. It looks fairly decent. The scenery is out of date with the Georgia Dome still there, Mercedes Benz Stadium under construction, and Turner Field still in the baseball config. Buckhead looked awesome. It did not get done by RealitySim. The Westin is missing the antenna though.

FS2002 default Hartsfield looked better than the way the airport looks in this version. I’m hoping that ImagineSim can get this airport done for FS2020 ASAP.

  3. Lookin’ good! Though the map is very outdated as you can see the Georgia Dome and the construction for the Mercedes-Benz stadium. Bing Maps is pretty outdated, unlike Google Maps, which is fairly up to date. Still, very stunning.

  4. As a native, that view of the city from the cockpit looks so real! The buildings may not be all up-to-date, but the graphics are insanely close to real life.

  5. This is insane compared to FSX. The airport looks better on FSX default but hopefully imaginesim will come out with a 2020 version soon. Buck head/Lenox isn’t even rendered on FSX and the fact that Georgia Tech is so detailed is awesome. Bobby Dodd even has Georgia Tech written on the field!

  6. I know this is outdated from a few buildings still under construction, but there are some other things. You can see the tops of some of the skyscrapers from the airport, and you should be able to see Stone Mountain. I also did not see Kennesaw Mountain while looking NW over downtown.
