I can’t decide if I like it or not. I don’t like the fact that the fuselage does not acquire damage, but this damage model as a whole is a vast improvement over FSX’s ‘Uh oh! You crashed!’ prompt…even though that is really all I care to hear in the end. DCS A-10C had a great model imo. This one feels like it is getting there BUT, given the developers prior endeavors, the planes still a bit bouncy/toyish if you know what I mean. Too light.

Pretty ingenious flight testing! I had no idea the planes broke up in such detail. I wish AFS had a replay mode which would let you select alternate views while the replay was in progress. They wouldn’t need to actually record the screen, just the data detailing all the relevant flight parameters. Replay would just re-fly the plane using that data.

This just makes me even more disappointed with M$F$ 2020 still pussing out on damage models. Oh well now they get to blame ‘licenses’ with airlines and 12 year old Youtubers instead of blaming 9/11. Any sim that includes damage modelling will always see my cash before any game that doesn’t.
Don’t forget kids, while normal people cannot experience damage modelling, you can at least still use MSFS 2020 to practice your ability to fly real aircraft into buildings, but at least ‘Muricans feelingz will be protected.

At least the planes in this one actually show damage. All too often the planes are made of adamantium or something.
I wouldn’t mind seeing more damage though, like parts of the fuselage breaking off.
