A steep high speed dive was not enough to safely attack this B-17, that severely damaged my engine on his first shot and killed my pilot on the second shot. I wonder how could he kill my pilot, if I have an armoured windscreen…

Check the armor tab, the armored canopy is thick, enough to stop almost anything that hits it.
BUT the bulletproof glass is only in the front. a tennis ball could puncture your canopy (and pilot) from the top.

Estoy mirando vídeos sobre este tema porque estoy valorando seriamente si gastar GE’s en entrenamiento de artilleros de bombardero, para poder concentrarme en el ataque y maniobra mientras ellos disparan a quien me persiga. En el caso de un B-25 (5 artilleros) ¿Merece la pena más aumentar el nº de artilleros o conformarse con 3-4 y subirles precisión, exactitud, vitalidad ..?
