As an attendee of the Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Event at Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum at McMinnville, Oregon, USA, I’ve had the chance of testing the Sim Update 11, named 40th Anniversary Edition, on November 10th, 2022, just 1 day before it’s world release.
This is one of the test I did that day, the Hands On focused on the Hughes H-4 Hercules «Spruce Goose», in front of the REAL plane!
The other 3 test were:
-My first test of helicopers: https://youtu.be/3pF5nnHzS5o
-My first test of gliders: https://youtu.be/4sXeKdAvhdI
-My first test of Ryan NYP: https://youtu.be/omDwrc8zAPU
Please take note we were not allowed to record screens, so all simulator footage was recorded afterward at my home and at some moments cand not be exactly the same as I’m commenting. Control input would barely match. I had to edit this video this way, sorry.
Special thanks to:
Jorg Neumann
Sebastian Wloch
Martial Bossard
Shon Damron
Ruben Márquez
Tyson Weinert
Michelle Kaufmann
Hannah Guth
And also thanks to all the involved teams from Microsoft, Asobo, X-Box, Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, Stoller Wine Group, PR’s, friends from media and influencers, and passionate gamers and flightsimmers supporting this simulator!

Looks pretty cool. I like the fact that this is closer to what the first tests were like: he built a scale test model RC plane and had a stand set up with controls really close to what you were using for your simulator and flew that around.
Tremendo video Tuckie. Felicidades por la experiencia que pudiste vivir en ese pedazo de museo.
All of this was incredibly cool. I must have seen 6 docs on the plane so far. The footage here inside of it was terrific. The Pilot was fun to watch.
